The 90/180-day rule operates on a rolling backward window. Whenever you enter or stay in Hungary, immigration authorities look back at the preceding 180 days. Every day spent in any of the 29 Schengen member states is combined into this single 90-day pool.
- Moving between Schengen states does NOT reset your allowance: Days in Spain, France, Germany, or Hungary all count toward the same 90 days.
- Passport Validity: Issued less than 10 years before the date of entry, valid at least 3 months after departure date.
