Each country's notice has its own authorized period and passport conditions. Do not treat the list as a single area-wide allowance or assume sequential stays are automatically lawful.
Japan passport in Austria
Austria’s Ministry states that Japanese passport holders can generally spend 90 days in Schengen followed by six months in Austria under the 1958 agreement. This is a one-time extension of the current stay, requires the Austrian procedure to be followed, and is decided case by case by the competent authority; six calendar months are not a fixed 180 days.
